Abstract

Dengen fruit is one of the endemic plants in South Sulawesi, especially in Luwu Raya. This fruit is yellow and tastes sour. Local people use it as addition for sour taste in food. This study held aim to determine vitamin C concentration in Dengen Fruit extract (Dillenia serrata). This research was held in Cell and Tissue Laboratory of Nature Materials, Faculty of Science, Cokroaminoto Palopo University and Forensic Laboratory of Indonesian Police in Makassar. This study began by making extracts from Dengen Fruit which were subsequently carried out to analyze and calculate Vitamin C. The results showed, the concentration of Vitamin C in Dengen Fruit Extract were 68.3%.
